Scout's honor, true story.

The year: 1990. The place: The soon-to-be-former East Germany. The choir is traveling, and we're being hosted by local families in East Berlin. The family that my friend and I were staying with didn't speak English, we didn't speak German, but everyone had high school French, so we could communicate well enough, especially when we wanted to talk about my Aunt's pens. A few hours into the trip, our host pulls out this huge photo album, and it's all him, dressed up in full American Indian regalia. Turns out he's a member of a local chapter of folks who are historians of the American Indian, and they collect tribal headdresses, spears, drums, etc, and get together and have powwows.

One of the most surreal experiences ever, being an American bombarded with questions about tribal customs, and we were amused, bemused but a tad ashamed because we didn't really know jack about this, and here was this man so excited to have actual Americans to discuss his passion with. So Oktoberfest in the US for a German probably isn't quite that bad.

Glad you like the CDs, but fair warning: listen to it enough times and you're gonna get friggin' sick of the song. Just a heads up.

I've seen Jane Wyatt referred to as the original MILF, btw.

Hey ladies - we are going to hold you to your clarinet & guitar playing on your 100th. I can't wait!! If my math is close - it should be a Valentine's 2008 gift to us all!!

Thanks for the recommendation of Akeelah and the Bee - I'll have to check it out.

Thanks Mike for all the great Huckle-Bug renditions - of course, I like Bet & Stennie best - but the songs are so much fun to listen to!!

Happy Halloween-Eve!! What will the huckle-bug be for halloween?

OK, Sten, it probably can't be considered a catch-phrase for the Vogons, but there is that one who says it over and over and that was the reference I was making and if memory serves, you did "correct" me. So, while you may deserve a "C" in my geek test, technically, you were incorrect, but I'm willing to overlook it this time.

HAHAHAHA!

Sorry, was that not maniacal enough?

Oh and I do have the Bikini Machine movie in my Netflix queue but it isn't set to arrive until tomorrow. But I'm looking forward to it!

Glad you're enjoying the BSG, Sten!

Bet, sorry we're not likely to hear your playing any time soon! :(

OH yeah and I need to IM you Bet about an Alan Arkin thing I came across on the 'net...

Gonna have to add To Be Or Not To Be to the Queue...

As for TheUsCast, part 3 will be up this Friday. I was wicked sick last week and didn't post it. There WILL be a part 4!! ARG!

No worries on commenting--I just hope it's as fun for you and other folks to listen to as it is for me. I love making it sound like the listenner is following us around, so it's nowhere near as tightly cut as Das Hucklebug.

Anyway--great show guys! Break a leg for Show 30!

FUCK! I probably am not getting this posted in time. You are done doing the show at this hour, aren't you?

I suppose it is just as well - I forgot my notes - yes notes- at work anyhow.

I think I already talked with both of you about Felix and the Amazing Race. I can't remember what else there was.

I'd like to send you hot mamaz a "you rule" for a delightful show.
