Week Fifteen

Week fifteen: our fifteenth anniversary, shout-outs, Listener Topic of the Week -- actors who would look nice in sundresses, lowlights, highlights, movies, the Wonderful World of Disney, wrap-up.

Note: due to a technical error, we lost the audio for our tribute, but Hucklebug would like to honor the spirit of Moose the Dog, who played Eddie on Frasier -- the only character we would watch in a spin-off. We miss you, Eddie! Good doggie!

bet- yellow gingham with spaghetti straps?! oh my!

stennie- jake gyllenhall would indeed be cute in a sundress! good choice. but i don't like leo. i'm reluctant to see orlando in a sundress. but you definitely should see the pirates of the caribbean! it's awesome.

ooh! i want to go back to disneyland this winter for the snow and jack skellington at the haunted mansion, plus the newly revised pirate ride!! i don't think i've ever been there for the snow, and definitely not for the seasonal haunted mansion.

my faves as a kid were the haunted mansion, mr toad's wild ride, pirates of the caribbean, the submarine, dumbo, the carousel of progress(gimme a break i was like 5!) and the dinosaur diorama on the railroad. a little older my faves also included autopia, thunder mountain, and space mountain.

nowadays, my faves are still space mountain, the haunted mansion, pirates of the caribbean, tiki room, mr toad, plus indiana jones and the tower of terror (technically at the california adventure). actually, i love almost all the fantasyland rides...i still go on all of those. hell, i like almost everything!

the only ones i never really liked were country bear jamboree (which is now winnie the pooh and also sucks), the hall of presidents, the tom sawyer rafts, the michael jackson thingy, captain eo, circlevision (beautiful images but BORING!!)...i can't remember what else.

and i have now, as of a few years ago, officially been to both disneyland AND the magic kingdom in florida. and i say, perhaps with some bias, that disneyland is BETTER overall...except that the magic kingdom has the better castle, since it is cinderella, and cinderella is my favorite.

do i sound like a nutcase?

I can't pick a favorite! Ah well. Thanks for the shout out guys! I've been listening (listenning?) all along :)

Great show #15!! I love the stereo and I love guessing who will be in which ear from week to week!

OK:

You're stranded on a deserted (desserted?) island.

1) What single actor (living or dead) would you want to have with you and why?

2) What single movie (assuming the island had electricity, a TV and a DVD player) would you want to have a copy of and why?

3) What single actress (living or dead) would you want to have with you and why?

4) What single item of technology would you want to have with you and why?

No points for saying "a cell phone" for number 3. There's electricity on the island but no cell service!

My answers:

1) Johnny Depp, because he's so versatile and he seems like a cool guy to just hang with.

2) Das Boot, so I can always remember that it could be worse than being stranded on a deserted (desserted?) island.

3) Angelina Jolie, so I can use her giant lips as floatation devices when I try to swim home (for no other reason, I SWEAR!)

4) a special cigarette lighter that was battery powered and had a solar panel on the side.

Man, I can't believe I didn't answer "iPod" for question 4.

OH well...

Oh yeah and David Tennet also plays the Doctor on the latest series of Doctor Who episodes currently airing in the UK. He's pretty good in the role, for the most part. :) Worth checking out even if you're not a HUGE NERD like me :D

I want to know who'd you'd case in the rolls of Tom Sawyer, Huck, and Becky Thatcher in a remake of Huckleberry Finn.

That's "cast," not "case."

It's also "roles," but who's counting.

It's also either "who'd you" or "who you'd", but who's counting.
