Week 4-A: Bonus

The Hucklebug is experiencing some technical difficulties this week, so the full podcast won't be available until this weekend. To tide you over, here's a bonus outtake from this week's conversation that had to be edited out for time.

Bonus: in which we discuss our theme song, and other songs about dancing.

My wife and I got married to circus band music, Thunder and Blazes for the intro., and Bones Trombone for the reprise.

A good time was had by all, including the mayor of Milton Center OH, who'd never married anyone before. She was so nervous, she got tipsy, and spent part of the reception sleeping it off sitting in our livingroom chair.

No crap.

That was the best belly laugh I can remember ever having heard, Bet!

I had no idea The Shrimp was based on a "real" song now. I'm kind of bummed about that. I wonder if I have any vodka?

There is no need to ever mention the macarena. If you did, you'd have to mention that dance everyone did to Achy, Breaky Heart and then it would be all over.

But you know what, I'll take you up on that "Chicken Dance First Wedding Song" challenge. I'd do it.

I always thought it was "a la main," which I'm willing to bet it was originally. I'd never seen it written down until you got my curiosity riled up. I can see how it got to "allemande," but boy does that mean something different.
