Thanks guys for the shout out!!!
Got a lot of movement in your sacroiliac?
QOATIP, you and I should definitely avoid that episode of Little House on the Prairie...
I'm one of your mystery subscribers. It's much louder this week - I can hear! Yay!
Oh, God. I haven't seen any of Bet's three movies. I've read Catch-22, though.
I've seen Catch-22 and the In-Laws, both fairly recently, actually. Bet, did you know A.F. Arkin is in Jakob the Liar, with Robin Williams? To be honest, I turned the movie off because concentration camp movies depress me (I can't imagine why).
i haven't see bet's three movies either. catch-22...well, i do like orson welles.
damn!! and i thought i watched a lot of tv!
crap. i just got spoiled on the sopranos.
Oh, shit. I'm sorry, Selkie. From now on, I won't give away any plot details, promise.
no biggy. it's my fault for being so far behind. i haven't even seen season 5 yet.
hey, i require a conversation on superheroes. and possibly, underoos.
Hey, I hope I didn't spoil that episode of Little House on the Prairie too.
Yeah - I totally second the request for superhero talk. Here's a question - who's cooler, Batman or Superman? Who would you rather date? Who would you rather marry?
I don't care if you've seen that episode AND are holding the script in front of you, the "Albert gets hooked on morphine" Little House can NOT be ruined.
---rousing applause---
---whoopin' an' hollerin'---
well, it so happens i have likely seen that episode of little house...in a previous life where i was obliged to watch terrible tv with my mother. i have repressed almost all memories of that show, aside from casting info, and i remember nothing of that episode. and now i no longer watch terrible tv and have no interest in seeing michael landon's face on anything but the super-rare episode of highway to heaven. wait, no. i can't stomach that either.
I'm very proud of you guys. I'm enjoying the podcasting a great deal, especially since I know 1 half of Hucklebug!
I didn't know Bet had an accent....
Keep rocking!
I know the other half of Hucklebug and she has an accent too, just one that's easier for me to understand.
I've never seen that episode of Little House and I feel like I've missed out! Although it sounds so very UN-little houseish to me. I thought Albert died when he was still young of some disease which gave him lots of nosebleeds. Wasn't that Albert?
Does Feedburner capture the people who subscribe through iTunes? Because I just signed on through iTunes, so you might have more mystery listeners. I wonder if it's like the "mystery shopper", seeing if they get value for money and whether the staff is kind and pleasant.
And I thought I was the only one who didn't like Raising Arizona. I think it's mostly due to Holly "Movie Killer" Hunter, daughter of Sally "Movie Killer" Fields. If she had been on screen just a little longer, she might have killed "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" And that's saying a lot.
Topic for next week: Mike's Wild Birthday Blowout. Why did he wake up in the gutter? (If he won't tell us in a blog, we'll just have to make it up)
For the record, I don't like Raising Arizona either (which I think was hinted at in the podcast).
More topics for discussion:
1) What songs you'd perform if you were ever so desperate for attention that you'd appear on American Idol
2) The Pogues
3) Get to your alternate choices for the CD mix we did already
Oh, man. I thought this was a Tuesday thing, for some reason. I was getting all impatient!
Well, it's something to look forward to tomorrow...
